Deniro, I completley agree with you about the Screaming Trees very underrated band out of that scene. I really loved everything they did. My favorite was Soundgarden but AIC was a close second. It is weird though I find myself now not being able to listen to many of those bands except for a select few. I guess it is the same with Glam Metal, I was much m ore a fan of early metal like Maiden and Moterhead but some of those glam bands wre not too bad but I can only listen to a select few of them.

I'm very much the same in that most of the Grunge and Metal bands I used to obsess over, very infrequently get any attention from me anymore. On occasion I might hear some Sabbath or something on the radio, and I'll go back and listen to some old favorites. Although I really view Sabbath as more of a hard rock band than metal, which I associate more with bands like Maiden and Metallica.

When I went through my metal phase and grunge phase, I listened to all the grunge and metal artists you could think of (minus that death metal-type garbage). Nowadays, Alice in Chains is pretty much the only Grunge artist I can go back to and really enjoy as much as I used to. As for metal, although I also see Deep Purple as a hard rock band, I will always greatly enjoy them. I still enjoy Maiden, Motorhead, Megadeth, Metallica, Priest, etc. but don't get nearly the same enjoyment from them that I once did. I'm too mellow for that shit now. I'd rather hear a moving country ballad or something lol.
